Haema AG is the largest independent and privately organized blood donor service in Germany and has 29 blood donor centers. In 2009 more than 988,000 blood and plasma donations were taken and processed into medicinal products. In addition to its role as a pharmaceutical business, Heama is involved in the sector transfusion medicine both in the inpatient and outpatient area.
