Beton- u. Monierbau GmbH purchased by ALPINE

The Deilmann-Haniel International Mining and Tunneling GmbH that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ATON GmbH sold its subsidiary Beton- und Monierbau G.m.b.H. (Innsbruck) to the Austrian ALPINE group, that is owned by the Spanish construction group FCC.
Beton- und Monierbau G.m.b.H. has been operating in the rail, road tunnel and the hydro-energy plant construction sectors since 1964 and performed construction work worth 100 million with its 260 employees in several European countries in 2008. The ALPINE group complements Beton- und Monierbau G.m.b.H. wonderfully well due to its development heading expertise in the tunnel drilling machine sector and its major underground projects throughout the world whilst transferring the management of the international tunnel construction work to its new industrial holding.
Deilmann-Haniel International will be focusing more upon the mining sector in which it generated consolidated turnover of approx. 400 million in 2008. The tunnel construction operations in the United States and Australia that are both closely linked with the mining operations will not be sold off.
